Katherine (Kathi) Elaine Smith, 59, Wichita, KS passed away on January 9, 2024. Kathi was born on June 26, 1964 to Mary and Allan Smith. She graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1982, and lived in Topeka before moving to Wichita. Kathi was an avid Chiefs fan and a fabulous cook. She enjoyed experimenting and discovering new dishes, the spicier the better. Kathi was also a life-long lover of animals, but her soft spot for all things feline was unparalleled.

Kathi is survived by her son Ryan (Jennifer), grandsons Cooper and Layne, sisters and brothers, Susan Allen (Jay), Terry Copp (Linda), Tim Atkinson (Jennifer) and Shellie Bhinhar, stepfather Ray Atkinson and stepmother Virginia Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents Allan Smith and Mary Atkinson and brother Dan Atkinson.
