Tina Louise Garcia
1963 – 2020
On December 26, 2020, the world lost the beautiful soul of Tina Louise Garcia. Tina was born on December 7, 1963 to Mary and Frank Garcia in Lawrence, KS. She grew up one of nine children in the family.
Tina relocated to Topeka, KS as an adult. She dedicated her working years to her passion for helping others. She especially helped the members of our community that are differently-abled with her work through USD 501 and The Capper’s Foundation, as well as work with adults through Sheltered Living. Tina’s other passion in life was the love she had for her BIG family.
She was blessed in life with her significant other, Antonio Ruiz Esparza; daughter, Diane Garcia; four grandchildren, Devin Rodriguez, Alejandro ‘Rolo’ Valdez, Gabriella ‘Gabi’ Soler (Rajh-gerio Smith), and Adley Soler; great-grandson Asauni Smith; and four Godchildren, Franco Garcia, Eileen Rocha, Joeanna Feliciano, and Natalia ‘Nattie’ Galindo.
Also surviving are three sisters, Chris (Robert) Garcia, Debbie Garcia, and Ruth (Ruben) Garcia; one brother, Mark (Marsha) Garcia; two brothers-in-law, Tony Ayala and Gene Torres, and two sisters-in-law, Gloria and Patty Garcia. She is also survived by 28 nieces and nephews, and 55+ great nieces and nephews who ALL loved their Aunt Tina very much.
Tina was preceded in Death by her parents, sister, Rose Ayala, three brothers, Lanny, Frankie, and John Garcia, and granddaughter Adley Soler.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Topeka. A rosary will be held at 6 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2021, with visitation to follow until 8 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home to help offset expenses. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
