Jan Demby, 51, formerly of Lawrence passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Peaceful Rest Funeral Chapel, 401 SW Harrison, Topeka, Kansas 66603, 785-234-1707, Fax 785-234-1226.

Jan W. Demby was born July 6, 1963 to Richard James “R.J.” Demby and Bertha Mae Barfield Demby in Rolling Fork, Sharkey County, MS.
He and his family moved to Lawrence, Douglas County, KS from Hollandale, Washington County, MS, in 1969.
He received his education from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, KS.
He moved to Norman, Cleveland County, OK.
He was the father of three children.
Mr. Demby passed away December 16, 2014 at his home in Norman, OK at the age of 51.
He is survived by his mother, three children, and eight brothers and sisters. He was the Son of Richard James “R.J.” and Bertha Mae Barfield Demby; the Brother of Clemons Lamar Bohannon, Myra Jean Butler Hendrix, Nancy Demby, John Barfield, Jerry Demby, Jerome Demby, James Demby, J.R. Demby, Reginald Demby, and Ulysses Demby; and the Paternal Grandson of Johnny M. Demby and Phyllis Holmes Demby.
