Services for Laurel Arlan Nitz, 30, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Sec 18, Lot 141-3) The body was cremated.
Mr. Nitz died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1994, at Kansas University Medical Center after a long illness. He was born July 29, 1964, in St. Paul, Neb., the son of Dale Franklin and Blanche Alice Bell Nitz. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1982 and worked as an electronic assemblyman.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Dale and Joan Nitz, Kennawick, Wash.; his mother, Blanche Nitz, Lawrence; a brother, Dale Nitz, Overland Park, and three sisters Kim Nitz, Lawrence, Linda Thomas, Omaha, Neb. and Tracy Zelinski, Lawrence.
