Services for Michelle Yvonne Fraser, 37, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in a Lawrence cemetery. (Oak Hill Sec 18, Lot 218-7)

Ms. Fraser died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Nov. 7, 1963, in Lawrence, the daughter of Richard “Slick” and Shirley (Cress) Fraser. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1982.

Ms. Fraser was honorary chairperson for the Kidney Foundation’s first area “Ride for Life” in October 1977. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Order of Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star and ABATE of Kansas.

Survivors include her parents; a companion, Leroy Miera; a brother, R. Douglas Fraser, and two sisters, Cynthia Wendt and Teresa Krambeer, all of Lawrence.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Michelle Fraser Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
