A dozen Lawrence High School seniors are named as semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s 1981-82 scholarship competition.

Kyle Roste coasted to an easy win Saturday in a quadrangular cross county meet at Haskell against SM North, SM South, and Wyandotte. Roste’s 10:06 time, over the 3,500 meter course, allowed him to finish 50 yards ahead of his nearest competitor.
